Australian Outreach

Max and Mereoni Wiltshire - Field Leader.

Max has been on the Field for the past 23 years, 13 of them with AOGWM, based in Halls Creek WA. In 1992 he was appointed Field Coordinator for the AAO ministry( Aust Aboriginal Outreach) his first wife Beatrice died early in 2001 and later that year married Mereoni, who has three children from her first marriage.

With the help of Sky Angel ( a plane) and now a van that has been converted into a mobile home, Max conducts extensive ministry throughout most states to assist with the developments of indigenous churches, and conducts at least four EAMs ( effective Aboriginal Ministry) seminars each year.

In 2005 he established about 8 new church plants in various states and started a live-in ministry training College for indigenous leaders to equip them for church planting and with some basic skills such as book keeping, vehicle maintenance etc.

End of year report from the Wiltshire’s.

August 07 was when I last reported, when we staged our 15th EAM Seminar/Convention at Halls Creek WA. This was a great time of impartation and inspiration, with many AAO Church being involved.
These times of ministry have proven to be a most effective event, touching peoples lives in a very powerful way, and forever changing  mind set’s towards the Aboriginal situation, “never the same again”.
These event are run each August starting on the first Tuesday of the month and running through until the following Monday, and I would advise any who have an interest in Aboriginal People and/or Ministry to make an effort to attend one of these in the future.

We, Mereoni and Kim and myself,  made contact with Churches and workers in AAO works in remote areas, this was a fruitful time, and we were more than blessed as we made contact with some of our supporting Churches. We continually thank the Lord for the Churches and individuals that back the AAO works by getting involved with projects and supporting our Missionaries in this vital ministry to the Aboriginal community of our Country.  We have many workers and projects still needing support, and if you ever feel to be involved, or involved in a greater way, please contact us and we will point you to where the needs are.

We travel via Mt Isa Qld,   as we have a good work in progress there, and great workers on the ground, which makes it happened. This work in the Isa is critical, in that it is the only hope for a people that have been lost in this Western Qld Mining town, the brokenness and poverty has been evident for years, but now hope has come, and a shaft of light is sinning through, as the Gospel is preached, and live out before them by Gorge and Bev Ferguson, our couple heading up this work.

Wyndham in WA was our first call on this trip, and this work is starting to touch lives, in a real way, we took this work on being run down somewhat, but now she’s up and away, seeing new people being baptized, and a good solid group developing. There is a project in desperate need of help in this work, and that is a Children’s ministry building, this has been started but needs help to see it finished.

Normanton Qld is another work that we are starting to have more involvement with, as the State guy’s through the district have now asked us to get involved in a more hands on way, which is good, and we will.
We worked with the Leadership there to put in place a set of “Governing Guidelines” this is simply a Culturally relevant Local By-laws that works for these Aboriginal works, I have been using these in many places, and will look to introduce them all-over the work in the future, as the need arises. We not only worked with the leadership at Normanton , but also did out-reach into the town being involved with a meeting in an un-saved families front yard, people came to the Lord.

Coen in the Cape York Qld  Thing are happening in Coen as we hear good reports of people coming to Christ and regular reports of water baptism taking place, Glory to God and may he bless the workers in this remote place,  300 kls dirt road each way, in and out. Gramme and Sharmaine are doing a great job up there.

We worked our way through to Sheparton in Vic to meeting with Ps Willie and Cindy, and to work on some stuff with the Eldership, also we did Ministry to the in the Church on our stay there this is always an exiting work with much happening at all time, and we had a need to introduce the Governing Guidelines to the Shepp Eldership also.

Wilcannia  NSW.  This was another EAM Seminar/Convention run by the local Leadership, and they done a great job. There were folks from far and near in the meetings, and it was good to make contact with them and see what the Lord is doing in this place. The local leadership and the oversight Ps Scott Lambshed were pleased with the out-come. This town was in the headlines not many years back, as a trouble town., but now things have changed, to “God be the glory.”

Well! All the best over Christmas and the New year, this is our Christmas Card,  from Max Mereoni and family.  We Thanks the Lord for your love and support.
